CHRISTOPHER MARTOWICZ, M.A., Ph.D.
teacher of foreign languages and translator; graduated from the Modern Languages Department of Gdańsk University with master’s degree and two specialization: in teaching foreign languages and literature studies; awarded a PhD degree from St Andrews University (School of Modern Languages).
Christopher has been teaching Polish, Russian and English since 2002 and organized a number of courses for some prestigious companies and institutions as well as individual students. He also has considerable experience in teaching Russian and Polish at university level – in the past he worked for St Andrews University and, since 2006, he has been working for the University of Edinburgh.
He is a member of the Slavic Linguistics Society, American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages, Association of Polish Language Enthusiasts (Towarzystwo Miłośników Języka Polskiego) and a co-funder, as well as secretary of the Association for the Promotion of Polish Language Abroad.
Currently Christopher is compiling teaching materials for his new Polish and Russian course books designed for English-speaking students.
